Educational Neglect Advice

The Department for Education states that persistent failure to send children to school is a clear indication of neglect. Similarly, the NSPCC identifies “not ensuring a child receives an education” as one of the four primary forms of neglect.

Working Together to Safeguard Children defines neglect as, “the persistent failure to meet a child’s basic physical, emotional, and/or psychological needs, likely to result in the serious impairment of the child’s health or development”.
