HIPS Serious Violence Toolkit Launched

Date: Thursday, 21st Mar 2024 | Category: Toolkits

Last year, the Government introduced the Serious Violence Duty in an effort to combat serious violence and foster safer communities through collaboration between statutory and non-statutory partners. To support practitioners in the Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, and Southampton (HIPS) areas, a new Serious Violence Toolkit was launched on Tuesday 19 March 2024. This toolkit provides professionals with a coordinated approach to addressing and preventing serious violence, while offering insights into its underlying factors.

The launch events, conducted via MS Teams Live webinars throughout the day, attracted over 400 multi-agency professionals from partner agencies within the Local Safeguarding Children Partnerships and Adult Boards. During the sessions, attendees received an overview of the toolkit resources, tools, and training opportunities available to enhance their practice.

If you missed the launch events or would like to learn more about the Serious Violence Duty, HSCP host a free webinar for Hampshire professionals that incorporates the newly developed toolkit. Book your free place now by clicking on your preferred date and time below:
