Hampshire Agency roles and responsibilities

Different agencies will have different duties and roles to play in providing support services in their area. Understanding these roles and responsibilities, including when an agency will or will not be involved with a child and their family, is key to providing an effective multi-agency response.

HSCP has developed a range of practitioner guides to support professionals in their understanding of the roles and responsibilities of different agencies. These practitioner guides have been developed in collaboration with the relevant agencies. The guides are designed to focus on the role of practitioners within the particular agency and their responsibility in relation to safeguarding children in the Hampshire local authority area.
