Today, on the first day of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Safeguarding Children Partnership Safeguarding Children Week 2023 we are delighted to release two new toolkits!
These toolkits are aimed at professionals who work with children and families, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity, to better understand and respond to safeguarding concerns.
Prevent Toolkit (Hampshire only)
Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership and Hampshire Safeguarding Adult Board have developed the new Prevent Toolkit to support professionals working with children who may be at risk of, or are, being groomed for radicalisation.
The toolkit was developed in response to a request made by multi-agency professionals for more information on potential signs and vulnerabilities of radicalisation and wanting to better understand the processes and procedures in place to support young people.
Within the toolkit you will find policies and procedures, as well as resources you can use within your teams. Links to organisations who provide support are also included.

Community and Voluntary Organisations Toolkit
Community and voluntary organisations play a huge role in supporting children and their families locally and nationally. To support these organisations in their safeguarding responsibilities we have developed a Community and Voluntary Organisations Toolkit.
The toolkit is aimed at anyone who comes into contact with children and their families and includes resources to support safeguarding processes and governance as well as information on different types of abuse and what to do if you are concerned about a child. It includes cases studies that you can work through with your colleagues, as well as access to free training to support you in recognising potential indicators of abuse.
